Halifax Regional Police is currently recruiting volunteers for its Burnside Watch program. Burnside Watch is a group of dedicated volunteers who give of their time and talents in an effort to prevent crime in the Burnside Business Park and Dartmouth Crossing areas.
A public information meeting will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2008, beginning at 7:00pm at Basinview Drive Community Elementary School, 273 Basinview Drive, Bedford, NS, to discuss the following applications:
Matthew Christie’s Old Fashioned Sunday Social was re-scheduled on Sunday due to rain (and to the possibility of a hurricane!). This event will now take place on October 5th, 2-4pm.
Students from all over Nova Scotia and the country showed support for Terry Fox when they participated in runs and walks. Students, teachers and parents at Bedford South School showed support, determination and enthusiasm as they walked around the block, with a police escort in tow.
