Celebrate with the library 25 years of African heritage. Join over a million readers from the U.S., Canada, the West Indies and African countries in the African-American Read-In.
Established in the U.S. in 1990, this worldwide event honors African-American contributions to literature and aims to make the celebration of African-American literacy a traditional part of African Heritage Month activities.
On Friday, February 27 at 10:30am the events will feature children’s books written by African-Americans and African-Canadians and involve stories, rhymes, songs and fun for preschoolers and their caregivers.
