Crew secure the Tall Ship Silva at the Bedford Waterfront. Theodore II is also docked here, along with other boats. At 9 a.m. Saturday morning, the wind and waves were steadily getting more powerful.

Hurricane Earl was here and is now heading out!

As of 3:04 p.m. Environment Canada has ended its rainfall warning and hurricane watch.

Still in effect are wind and tropical storm warnings.

“Tropical storm warning for Halifax Metro and Halifax County West continued. Persons in or near this area should be on the lookout for adverse weather conditions and take necessary safety precautions. Watch for updated statements.”
