Halifax Regional Police is seeking the public’s help in locating a missing Bedford man.
Sixty-two-year-old Hari Das was last seen at his Bedford home on June 27 and has not had contact with family and friend since. While there is no indication of foul play, there is concern for his well being.
Investigators are also interested in locating Mr. Das’ vehicle, a 2006 brown Jeep Liberty with Nova Scotia license plate CPX 669.
Police have attempted to locate Mr. Das without any success and are asking anyone with information on his or his vehicle’s whereabouts to call police at 490-5016.

At around 10 a.m. today police responded to a waste oil spill which resulted from an insecure cap on a hauling truck on Dartmouth Road.
The spill eventually reached the Bedford Highway and the Sackville River.
Environmental agencies are the lead on this incident which was widely reported by radio stations for traffic delay concerns.
The Police assisted where necessary to support the clean up effort.

Day 3 of the 33rd Annual Bedford Days ended with the alFresco Film in the Park. Moviegoers bundled up in blankets on what was a cool night at DeWolf Park to watch “Hotel for Dogs”. The film was presented in partnership with the alFresco Film Festival.

The Third Annual Bedford 5k to Beat Lung Cancer took place at the Bedford Waterfront on Sunday. More than 250 runners and walkers of all ages took part. (To see photos, click on thumbnails below).
