Pumpkins are making an appearance as Sobeys and other stores throughout Bedford are getting ready for the fall season.

Bedford residents play a carnival game during the opening night of Bedford Days at DeWolf Park. Events at the park drew a good crowd, however, celebrations were tempered a little with the announcement that the fireworks show would be cancelled because of fog. The fireworks that would have been used on Thursday will be added to the Canada Day fireworks show on July 1.
