LIGHT UP BEDFORD PARADE NOT RESCHEDULED

On Sunday, Novemeber 16 Bedford’s Santa Claus parade was cancelled due to nasty weather. The parade cannot be rescheduled. Chair of the parade, Barb Hooper, explains that “even though we didn’t have the parade there are still bills to pay. By the time we pay the bills there is no money left over and people have dismantled the floats.

One of the main reasons for picking the date is that a lot of the floats from the Downtown parade then come to ours the next night. We will be trying to have a carol sing and tree lighting at the waterfront with hot chocolate and maybe Santa, if we can convince him to fly this way again!”
