Madad Pakistan – local boy organizes fundraising appeal

Behraam Raja, an 11 year old student at Basinview Drive School in Bedford, has a goal – to raise $5000 by September 12.

With the help of his parents and friends he has also put together a YouTube video.

Behraam’s family comes from Pakistan and many of his relatives still reside there.

He has heard stories about “how so many thousands of people have lost their homes, kids have lost their families, and entire towns are under water” because off the floods that started devastating the country in July.

Behraam’s goal is to raise $5000. The Canadian Government will match any donation made on or before September 12.
