A car cautiously heads down Oceanview Drive in Bedford.

A spring snowstorm that started yesterday evening has cancelled schools in the Halifax Regional School Board. Strong winds, freezing rain and snow have also caused many flight delays, with very few cancellations.

For more on flight information visit: www.halifaxinternationalairportauthority.ca.

Environment Canada’s forecast for today calls for “snow mixed with ice pellets changing to rain showers or flurries late this morning and ending this afternoon then cloudy. Local snow and ice pellet amount 2 to 4 cm.”

OTHER CLOSURES:

Sandy Lake Academy.

The Maritime Muslim Academy.

All Halifax recreation and pool programs cancelled for the morning.
