At approximately 2:20 pm on the afternoon of Wednesday, August 27 a female in her late teens was struck by a vehicle while crossing the highway in front of Sunnyside Mall, Bedford. The victim received injuries to her neck and extremities which are not believed life threatening. The driver of the vehicle has been charged under the Motor Vehicle Act for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
